1840
Our company is founded by Mr. Fauroy who begins manufacturing authentic FAUROY mustard that he sells to local retailers.
1900
Mr. THEVENIAUD buys our company and expands distribution, taking the business to a national level. Mr. THEVENIAUD's sons also become involved and soon develop the business internationally. The premium quality of our mustard, manufactured according to the original and traditional formula, conquers new customers in Switzerland, Canada and the USA.
1976
Our company is awarded France's Exporters' Silver Medal.
1994
Takeover by the Swiss company W. LEUENBERGER who rename our company REINE DE DIJON and begin building a new and modern factory.
1995
REINE DE DIJON enters the kosher certified mustard business producing under rabbinic supervision.
1996
REINE DE DIJON begins suppling own-brand mustards to the major French retailers thanks to the construction of a new modern purpose built facility located in Fleurey sur Ouche.
1997
All production is transfered to the new facility in Fleurey sur Ouche in order to meet increasingly stricter customer demands concerning quality assurance, hygiene and service requirements.
1998
REINE DE DIJON S.A. becomes a subsidiary of the German family owned and managed group DEVELEY Senf & Feinkost GmbH, specialist in mustard and condiments.
1999
The production of Organic mustards, certified by Ecocert, increases significantly.
2000
The new facility is extended to integrate the manufacture of condiment sauces for McDonald's.
2004
Worlwide development of the brand in over 50 countries and steady increase in consumption of its products.
2005
A dynamic success for the brand in the food service industry. Growth is fuelled by high brand awareness and the exceptional quality of our products.
2006
REINE DE DIJON develops exports of DEVELEY Group products throughout the world.
2009
First ISO 14001 certification.
2015
First ISO 50001 certification.
2016
Opening of a storage warehouse located in Sombernon, France (postcode: 21540).
Today
With a production of 15 000 tons mustard in a year, REINE DE DIJON is the 3rd largest French mustard manufacturer and exports mustard as well as DEVELEY Group products to more than 70 countries.
